What you will need:
Plastic putty knives
Joint compound
polycrylic(water-Based) linked here
Paint sprayer (you can also use a brush) linked here
Directions:
First, to begin with you need to put the joint compound on the wall Only use plastic putty knives, because metal ones mess up the bricks, and start taking chunks off the bricks. It is totally up to you on how much joint compound on the bricks. It might take a day or two depending on how much you put on the wall, but after it dies fully. Either brush or spray the polycrylic on the wall this is just so it you brush against the wall it won’t turn your clothes white. (Note: if you use a brush it will take some of the joint compound off) Which for us it turned out greatly! Boom now you should have an German smeared faux brick!
